ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | Bundesarbeitsminister Hubertus Heil will Konzerne stärker dazu verpflichten, Sozial- und Umweltstandards in ihren Lieferketten einzuhalten.
“Wir haben mit Hilfe einer Befragung untersucht, in welchem Ausmaß sich international tätige Unternehmen bereits um sozial und ökologisch nachhaltige Lieferketten bemühen. Die Ergebnisse sind ernüchternd”, sagte Heil dem Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland (Montagausgaben). “Deshalb müssen wir handeln.”
Der SPD-Politiker kündigte an, zusammen mit Entwicklungsminister Gerd Müller (CSU) einen Gesetzentwurf zu erarbeiten. Laut Heil wird es dabei um klare Haftungsregeln gehen. Standards müssten eingehalten werden. Kinderarbeit, Dumping-Löhne und Ausbeutung dürfe es nicht geben.
