ABQnews | Deutschland / Ägypten | Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz und der ägyptische Präsident Abdel Fattah El-Sisi hätten sich in einem Telefonat darauf geeinigt, wie wichtig es sei, humanitäre Hilfe in den Gazastreifen zuzulassen, sagte ein Sprecher der deutschen Regierung am Montag.
„Die Kanzlerin und der Präsident waren sich einig, dass es im Konflikt zwischen Israel und Hamas dringend notwendig ist, den Zugang für humanitäre Hilfe zum Gazastreifen und die Versorgung der Palästinenser deutlich zu verbessern“, sagte der Sprecher in einer Erklärung.
Der Aufruf der Staats- und Regierungschefs kam, als eine wachsende Zahl von Ländern, darunter auch Deutschland, Zahlungen an die Hilfsorganisation der Vereinten Nationen für Palästinenser einstellte, als Reaktion auf Vorwürfe aus Israel, einige seiner Arbeiter seien an dem Angriff der Hamas am 7. Oktober beteiligt gewesen.
