ABQnews| Deutschland / Frankreich / Russland / Ukraine | Bundeskanzlerin Angela-Merkel (CDU) wird am Montag zum Ukraine-Gipfel in Paris erwartet (15.00 Uhr, Pk. gegen 19.00 Uhr). Die Bundesregierung erhofft sich davon “einen neuen Impuls für den Friedensprozess” in der Ost-Ukraine, wie eine Sprecherin sagte. In Paris treffen Russlands Präsident Wladimir Putin und der ukrainische Staatschef Wolodymyr Selenskyj erstmals aufeinander. Eingeladen hat der französische Staatschef Emmanuel Macron.
Vor dem Vierer-Treffen im sogenannten Normandie-Format will Merkel nach Berliner Angaben zunächst mit Putin und danach auch mit Selenskyj unter vier Augen beraten. Überschattet wird der Gipfel durch die Ausweisung von zwei russischen Diplomaten aus Berlin. Die Bundesregierung hatte sie wegen des mutmaßlichen Auftragsmords an einem Georgier am Mittwoch zu unerwünschten Personen erklärt.
