ABQnews| Deutschland / Leipzig | Einen Tag vor Beginn des CDU-Parteitags in Leipzig kommen die Spitzengremien am Donnerstag zu abschließenden Beratungen zusammen (ab 15.00 Uhr). Im Anschluss gibt CDU-Generalsekretär Paul Ziemiak, der auch Vorsitzender der Antragskommission ist, eine Pressekonferenz (18.00 Uhr). Das zweitägige Treffen mit mehr als tausend Delegierten beginnt am Freitagmorgen.
Mit Spannung erwartet wird die Aussprache nach dem Bericht der CDU-Vorsitzenden Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, die seit einem knappen Jahr im Amt ist. Ihr bei der Wahl zum Vorsitz unterlegener Konkurrent Friedrich Merz hat eine Rede angekündigt. Angesichts schwerer Verluste bei den Landtagswahlen in Brandenburg, Sachsen und Thüringen sowie schlechter Umfragewerte steht Kramp-Karrenbauer unter erheblichem Druck. Eine Fortsetzung der Personalquerelen der letzten Wochen will die Parteispitze jedoch vermeiden.
