ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | Bundesgesundheitsminister Jens Spahn (CDU) rechnet mit einem “zügigen” Abschluss der Verhandlungen der EU-Kommission mit der Firma Biontech über den Bezug von Corona-Impfdosen.
“Wir gehen von einem Vertragsabschluss in den nächsten Tagen aus”, sagte Spahn am Dienstag in Berlin. Es gehe zunächst um 200 Millionen Dosen. Deutschland wolle sich am Ende bis zu 100 Millionen Impf-Dosen sichern. Spahn betonte, dass die Zulassungsverfahren sowohl in den USA als auch der EU beschleunigt, die Anforderungen an Sicherheit und Wirkung eines Stoffes aber nicht abgesenkt würden. Große EU-Staaten wie Deutschland und Frankreich hätten sich den Impfstoff auch national sichern können. Man habe sich aber aus solidarischen Gründen für den Weg über die EU entschieden, die Impfstoff für alle 27 EU-Mitgliedstaaten besorge und die faire Verteilung organisiere.
