ABQnews| Deutschland / Stuttgart | Der ehemalige Chef des Autobauers Audi, Rupert Stadler, kommt aus der Untersuchungshaft frei. Das Oberlandesgericht (OLG) München erklärte am Dienstag, es habe den Haftbefehl gegen Stadler im Zusammenhang mit der Dieselaffäre außer Vollzug gesetzt. Allerdings verhängte es Auflagen: Stadler muss eine Kaution hinterlegen und darf zu “für das Ermittlungsverfahren relevanten Personen” keinen Kontakt aufnehmen.
Wie das OLG weiter mitteilte, besteht gegen Stadler weiterhin ein dringender Tatverdacht. Zudem gehe das Gericht weiter davon aus, dass “Verdunkelungsgefahr” bestehe.
Die Staatsanwaltschaft München II hatte Stadler Mitte Juni in Untersuchungshaft genommen. Er soll versucht haben, in den Ermittlungen wegen des Dieselskandals bei Audi Zeugen oder Beschuldigte zu beeinflussen. Stadler hatte Haftbeschwerde eingelegt, die in erster Instanz abgelehnt wurde.
Anfang Oktober hatte sich sein ehemaliger Arbeitgeber, der Volkswagen-Konzern, von Stadler getrennt. Als Grund führte das Unternehmen die andauernde Untersuchungshaft an. Die VW-Tochter Audi wird seitdem kommissarisch von Vertriebsvorstand Bram Schot geführt.
