ABQnews| Deutschland / China | Nach Absage des EU-China-Gipfels im September will sich Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel bereits am Montag mit dem chinesischen Ministerpräsidenten Li Keqiang austauschen.
Am 22. Juni würden beide Regierungschefs eine Video-Konferenz abhalten, teilte das Außenministerium in Peking am Freitag mit. Merkel sieht China als “strategischen Partner” der EU. Geplant ist, den ursprünglich in Leipzig geplanten EU-China-Gipfel nachzuholen. Er war mit Hinweis auf die Coronavirus-Pandemie abgesagt worden. Deutschland übernimmt in der zweiten Jahreshälfte die EU-Präsidentschaft. Merkel will dann unter anderem die Zusammenarbeit mit China beim Investitionsschutz, Klimaschutz und in der Afrika-Politik vorantreiben.
