ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | Der boomende Arbeitsmarkt hat im September einen neuen Rekord erreicht: Erstmals wurde vergangenen Monat die 45-Millionen-Marke bei den Erwerbstätigen überschritten, wie das Statistische Bundesamt in Wiesbaden am Dienstag mitteilte. Demnach waren knapp über 45 Millionen Menschen in Deutschland erwerbstätig, so viele wie noch nie seit der Wiedervereinigung.
Im Vergleich zum Vorjahresmonat nahm die Zahl der Erwerbstätigen um 1,3 Prozent oder 557.000 Menschen zu, wie die Statistiker mitteilten. Erwerbslos waren im September rund 1,4 Millionen Menschen, 124.000 weniger als ein Jahr zuvor.
Im Vergleich zum August 2018 stieg die Zahl der Erwerbstätigen nach vorläufigen Ergebnissen um 216.000 Menschen oder 0,5 Prozent an, erklärte das Statistikamt. Das entspreche in etwa dem durchschnittlichen Zuwachs gegenüber dem Vormonat der letzten fünf Jahre.
