ABQnews| Deutschland / Bayern / München | Durch den Einzug von Bayern München und Bayer Leverkusen ins DFB-Pokalfinale genügt nun auch der siebte Platz in der Fußball-Bundesliga für den Einzug ins internationale Geschäft. Wer die Saison auf diesem Rang abschließt, darf in der Qualifikation für die Europa League antreten, weil sich München und Leverkusen auch über die Liga für Europa qualifizieren werden.
Fraglich ist jedoch, wann und wie die Qualifikation gespielt wird. Die Europäische Fußball-Union (UEFA) wird sich mit dieser Thematik auf der Sitzung ihres Exekutivkomitees in der kommenden Woche (17. und 18. Juni) auseinandersetzen. In der vergangenen Saison hatte sich Eintracht Frankfurt über Platz sieben für Europa qualifiziert, derzeit belegt die TSG Hoffenheim diesen Rang.
