ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | Bundesverkehrsminister Andreas Scheuer (CSU) will den von der Corona-Krise schwer getroffenen Bus-Unternehmen in Deutschland mit einem Hilfspaket unter die Arme greifen. Die Bundesregierung wolle “schnell helfen, mit insgesamt 170 Millionen Euro”, erklärte Scheuer am Mittwoch. Mit Bundesfinanzminister Olaf Scholz (SPD) sei er hierzu “in sehr guten Gesprächen.”

Die Hilfe soll Scheuer zufolge “Teil unseres Konjunkturpakets sein, das wir nächste Woche in der Koalition besprechen”. Mit dem Geld sollen die Unternehmen demnach ihre Fixkosten zum Vorhalten der Busse oder für ihre Vorleistungen decken können.

Die Bus-Unternehmen hatten für Mittwoch zu Demonstrationen aufgerufen, um auf ihre schwierige wirtschaftliche Lage aufmerksam zu machen. Scheuer betonte, die Branche sei von der Pandemie besonders hart betroffen. “Keine touristischen Reisen, keine Vereinsfahrten, keine oder nur reduzierte Schülerverkehre”, erklärte der Minister. “Ihr gesamtes Geschäftsfeld ist betroffen – und das seit Monaten”, fügte er hinzu. “Hier geht es vor allem um Mittelständler, die um ihre Existenz fürchten.”
