ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel (CDU) will sich am Mittwochabend mit einer Fernsehansprache an die Bevölkerung wenden. Das teilte ein Regierungssprecher in Berlin mit. Die Ansprache soll jeweils nach den Hauptnachrichten in ARD und ZDF ausgestrahlt werden.
“Es geht nicht um neue Maßnahmen. Es geht um das, was in Deutschland jetzt zu tun ist, um die Ausbreitung des Virus zu verlangsamen und wie jeder sich daran beteiligen soll”, sagte der Sprecher weiter. Er trat damit möglichen Spekulationen entgegen, es Merkel könnte weitere Einschränkungen des öffentlichen Lebens oder gar eine Ausgangssperre verkünden.
Über die geplante Rede hatte zuerst die “Süddeutsche Zeitung” berichtet. Die ARD kündigte die Übertragung der Ansprache für 20.15 Uhr an. Von Seiten des Senders hieß es weiter, Merkel wolle Verunsicherung in der Bevölkerung entgegenwirken.
