ABQnews| Deutschland / Bayern / Münchn | Trotz der Coronaviruskrise hat in Bayern am Sonntag die Kommunalwahl begonnen. Etwa zehn Millionen Menschen sind zur Stimmabgabe aufgerufen. Die bayerische Landesregierung hielt trotz der Schließung von Schulen und Kindergärten an dem Wahltag fest und rief zur Teilnahme auf. Es werden Oberbürgermeister, Bürgermeister, Landräte, Stadt- und Gemeinderäte sowie Kreis- und Bezirkstage gewählt.
In der Landeshauptstadt München hat Oberbürgermeister Dieter Reiter (SPD) laut Umfragen gute Chancen auf eine Wiederwahl, womöglich muss er aber in eine Stichwahl. In den nächstgrößeren bayerischen Städten Nürnberg und Augsburg steht auf jeden Fall ein Wechsel an der Stadtspitze an, weil die Amtsinhaber auf eine neue Kandidatur verzichteten. Mit Spannung wird erwartet, ob die bisher vor allem in den Städten erfolgreichen Grünen auch auf dem Land zulegen können.
