ABQnews| Deutschland / EU / Berlin | Mehrere EU-Staaten sind nach Aussage von Bundesaußenminister Heiko Maas bereit, Flüchtlinge aufzunehmen, die sich an der Grenze zu Griechenland aufhalten.
“Das ist es, worum wir uns bemühen, auch im Kreise der Außenminister”, sagte Maas am Freitag im Deutschlandfunk. Nötig sei hier eine europäische Lösung. Daran müssten nicht alle EU-Staaten teilnehmen, ergänzte der SPD-Politiker. Er verwies in diesem Zusammenhang auf die Aufnahme von Flüchtlingen und Migranten, die mit Schiffen übers Mittelmeer gekommen waren. Es gebe bereits entsprechende Zusagen.
Maas ergänzte, die nun zwischen Russland und der Türkei vereinbarte Waffenruhe für Syrien sei die Voraussetzung dafür, dass humanitäre Hilfe in dem Bürgerkriegsland geleistet werden könne. Deutschland habe die Vereinten Nationen (UN) darüber unterrichtet, dass es kurzfristig bereit sei, zusätzliche 100 Millionen Euro zur Verfügung zu stellen
