ABQnews| EU / Brüssel | Die Gesundheitsminister der EU-Länder kommen am Freitag (10.00 Uhr) in Brüssel zu einem außerordentlichen Krisentreffen wegen der Ausbreitung des neuartigen Coronavirus zusammen. Neben einer Bestandsaufnahme der aktuellen Situation und bereits ergriffener Maßnahmen sollen Bundesgesundheitsminister Jens Spahn (CDU) und seine Kollegen vor allem an koordinierten Reaktionen auf die Epidemie arbeiten. Zur Debatte steht etwa die gemeinsame Beschaffung medizinischer Materialien.
Ein Vertreter des Europäischen Zentrums für die Prävention und die Kontrolle von Krankheiten (ECDC) sagte am Donnerstag bereits, dass es an dieser Stelle wegen ausbleibender Lieferungen aus China Schwierigkeiten geben werde. In der EU infizierten sich bislang rund 4200 Menschen mit dem neuartigen Erreger Covid-19, mehr als 3000 davon in Italien. Das ECDC hatte das Ansteckungsrisiko Anfang der Woche hochgestuft.
