ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | CDU-Chefin Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer führt am Dienstag Gespräche zur Vorbereitung des Führungswechsels in ihrer Partei. Geplant ist nach Angaben aus Parteikreisen zunächst ein Treffen mit dem früheren Fraktionschef Friedrich Merz, der als Anwärter auf ihre Nachfolge gilt. Auch mit den weiteren Aspiranten – Bundesgesundheitsminister Jens Spahn und NRW-Ministerpräsident Armin Laschet – will Kramp-Karrenbauer noch in Einzelgesprächen beraten.
Die Parteichefin will ausloten, wie der Führungswechsel in ihrer Partei möglichst reibungslos vollzogen werden kann. Eine der offenen Fragen ist, wann der neue Chef gewählt werden soll; im Gespräch ist ein Sonderparteitag vor der Sommerpause. Ebenfalls offen ist, wann der Kanzlerkandidat gekürt wird. Kramp-Karrenbauer will das Präsidium am Montag über ihre Gespräche unterrichten und dann möglicherweise schon einen Vorschlag für das weitere Verfahren vorlegen.
