ABQnews| Deutschland / Russland | Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel (CDU) und Außenminister Heiko Maas (SPD) sind am Samstag zu Gesprächen mit dem russischen Präsidenten Wladimir Putin nach Moskau geflogen. Bei einem gemeinsamen Mittagessen sollen nach Angaben der Bundesregierung aktuelle internationale Themen erörtert werden, darunter die Lage in Syrien, in Libyen, im Irak, im Iran und in der Ukraine. Zudem sollen bilaterale Fragen besprochen werden.
Nach Angaben der Bundesregierung handelt es sich nicht um einen Staatsbesuch, sondern um einen reinen Arbeitsbesuch. Nach den Gesprächen im Moskauer Kreml ist eine Pressekonferenz geplant (gegen 15.00 Uhr MEZ) . Zuletzt hatten sich Merkel und Putin Anfang Dezember beim Ukraine-Gipfel in Paris getroffen.
