ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | Vor dem Berliner Verwaltungsgericht hat am Donnerstag die Verhandlung über die AfD-Spendenaffäre rund um Parteichef Jörg Meuthen begonnen. Der Politiker erschien dazu persönlich vor Gericht. Vor dem Beginn der Verhandlung sagte er vor Journalisten, er habe “nichts falsch gemacht” und “nichts zu verheimlichen”.
Der Bundestag hatte ein Bußgeld von 269.400 Euro gegen die AfD verhängt, nachdem eine PR-Agentur im baden-württembergischen Landtagswahlkampf 2016 Werbemaßnahmen im Wert von fast 90.000 Euro für den damaligen Landtagskandidaten Meuthen umgesetzt hatte. Dies wertete das Parlament als verbotene Annahme anonymer Spenden.
Vor Gericht geht es nun um die AfD-Klage gegen den Sanktionsbescheid. Die Partei argumentiert, bei den Werbemaßnahmen habe es sich nicht um eine Parteispende gehandelt. Die Werbemaßnahmen seien nicht abgestimmt gewesen, außerdem sei das Bußgeld unverhältnismäßig.
