ABQnews| Deutschland / Peru | Bei einem schweren Busunfall in Peru sind zwei deutsche Staatsbürger ums Leben gekommen. Insgesamt wurden bei dem Unfall im Süden des Landes 16 Menschen getötet, wie die Staatsanwaltschaft des südamerikanischen Landes am Montagabend (Ortszeit) mitteilte. Weitere 40 Menschen wurden verletzt.
Bei den beiden deutschen Todesopfern handelt es sich den Angaben zufolge um eine Frau und einen Mann im Alter von 28 und 30 Jahren. Der Bus war in der Gegend der Stadt Arequipa auf der Panamericana unterwegs, als er von der Straße abkam und in acht am Straßenrand parkende Fahrzeuge krachte. Nach Angaben der Behörden sagte der Busfahrer aus, dass die Bremsen versagt hätten.
