ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | Die neue SPD-Führung dringt auf eine Reduzierung der deutschen Rüstungsexporte. Die Bundesregierung müsse Waffenexporte restriktiver handhaben, sagte Parteichef Norbert Walter-Borjans den Zeitungen der Funke Mediengruppe (Dienstagsausgaben). Es sei “inakzeptabel”, wie häufig deutsche Waffen in Krisenregionen und Diktaturen auftauchten.
Die Ko-Parteivorsitzende Saskia Esken sagte: “In der friedenspolitischen Tradition und Grundhaltung der SPD stehen wir dafür, dass Deutschland weniger Waffen exportiert.” Der Wert der von der Bundesregierung genehmigten Rüstungsexporte hatte im vergangenen Jahr eine neue Rekordhöhe erreicht.
