ABQnews| Nigeria / Abuja | Die Extremistenmiliz IS hat eigenen Angaben zufolge elf Christen in Nigeria getötet.
Auf ihrem Nachrichtenkanal beim Messenger-Dienst Telegram veröffentlichte sie bereits am Donnerstag ein Video, in dem die Tötung der Männer zu sehen sein soll. Damit solle der Tod von IS-Anführer Abu Bakr al-Bagdadi gerächt werden, hieß es. Dieser war im Oktober bei einem Einsatz von US-Spezialkräften im Nordwesten Syriens gestorben. Die USA hatten Bagdadi jahrelang gejagt.
Der IS in Nigeria spaltete sich 2016 von der militanten Gruppe Boko Haram ab. Er ist mittlerweile zur dominierenden militant-islamischen Gruppe der Region aufgestiegen.
