ABQnews| Deutschland / China | Bundesverteidigungsministerin Ursula von der Leyen (CDU) führt heute politische Gespräche in Peking. In der chinesischen Hauptstadt, der zweiten Station ihrer mehrtägigen Asienreise, trifft die Ministerin unter anderem ihren Amtskollegen Wei Fenghe. Außerdem besucht sie ein Ausbildungszentrum der Vereinten Nationen und hält eine Rede an der National Defense University (NDU).
Zum Auftakt ihrer Asien-Reise hatte von der Leyen am Samstag die Mongolei besucht. Von Peking aus reist sie weiter nach Australien und Bahrain. In der australischen Hauptstadt Canberra sind am Mittwoch Gespräche mit Außenministerin Marise Payne und Verteidigungsminister Christopher Pyne geplant. In Sydney besucht von der Leyen am Donnerstag die Invictus Games, eine Sport-Meisterschaft für verwundete Soldaten. In Bahrain nimmt die Ministerin zum Abschluss der Reise am Samstag kommender Woche an der Konferenz Manama-Dialog teil.
