ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | Dämpfer für Bundeslandwirtschaftsministerin Julia Klöckner bei ihrer Wiederwahl zur CDU-Landesvorsitzenden in Rheinland-Pfalz: Auf einem Landesparteitag ist die seit acht Jahren amtierende Landeschefin mit ihrem bislang schlechtesten Ergebnis im Amt bestätigt worden. Sie erhielt auf dem Delegiertentreffen am Samstag in Lahnstein nur knapp 81 Prozent der Stimmen.
Die 45-Jährige steht seit September 2010 an der Spitze der rheinland-pfälzischen CDU. Seit 2012 ist sie zudem Vizevorsitzende der Bundes-CDU. Nach der Bundestagswahl übernahm sie im März das Amt des Bundeslandwirtschaftsministerin. In Rheinland-Pfalz war sie bei der Landtagswahl im Jahr 2016 als CDU-Spitzenkandidatin mit dem Versuch gescheitert, SPD-Ministerpräsidentin Malu Dreyer abzulösen.
Auf dem CDU-Parteitag in Lahnstein wurden Christian Baldauf und Günther Schartz zu Klöckners Stellvertretern gewählt. Sie schnitten dabei jeweils besser als die Landesvorsitzende bei ihrer Wiederwahl ab: Baldauf erhielt 92 Prozent der Stimmen, Schartz knapp 86 Prozent. Zum neuen Generalsekretär wurde Christoph Gensch mit knapp 92 Prozent gewählt.
