ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | Die SPD legt am Samstagabend (18.00 Uhr) in Berlin das Ergebnis ihrer Mitgliederbefragung über den künftigen Parteivorsitz vor. Zwölf Tage lang konnten die rund 430.000 Parteimitglieder sich zwischen sechs Kandidaten-Duos entscheiden, die jeweils aus einer Frau und einem Mann bestehen. Als letztmöglicher Abgabetermin der online und per Brief vorgenommenen Befragung war Freitagabend um Mitternacht festgelegt worden.
Sofern kein Duo im ersten Durchgang die absolute Mehrheit erreicht, findet vom 19. bis 29. November eine Stichwahl zwischen den beiden Bestplatzierten statt. Formal gewählt wird die neue Doppelspitze auf einem Bundesparteitag vom 6. bis 8. Dezember. Die bisherige Vorsitzende Andrea Nahles war im Juni zurückgetreten.
