ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin / SPD | Die SPD-Spitze berät heute über das von einer Arbeitsgruppe erarbeitete Konzept zur Wiedereinführung der Vermögensteuer. Interims-Parteichef Thorsten Schäfer-Gümbel und der sächsische SPD-Vorsitzende Martin Dulig wollen im Anschluss dazu sowie zu weiteren Themen Stellung nehmen (Pk 12.30 Uhr). Die SPD will nach Angaben Schäfer-Gümbels eine Vermögensteuer nach Schweizer Vorbild, mit Regeln, die bei wirtschaftlicher Schieflage greifen. Sie soll dem Staat jährliche Einnahmen von bis zu zehn Milliarden Euro bringen.
In der SPD-Präsidiumssitzung dürfte es auch um die am kommenden Sonntag anstehenden Landtagswahlen in Sachsen und Brandenburg gehen. In Sachsen erreicht die SPD Umfragen zufolge nur sieben bis neun Prozent, eine Fortsetzung der Koalition mit der CDU erscheint unwahrscheinlich. In Brandenburg lagen die Sozialdemokraten zuletzt zwischen 21 und 22 Prozent.
