ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | Bundesfinanzminister Olaf Scholz will mit der Abschaffung des Solidaritätszuschlags für weite Teile der Bevölkerung auch die sich abschwächende Konjunktur stützen.
Es sei eine große Entlastung für Arbeitnehmer, Selbstständige und Handwerker, sagte der SPD-Politiker am Montag in Berlin. Probleme bei der Umsetzung sieht Scholz nicht: “Die Lösung, die wir vorschlagen, ist verfassungskonform.” Außerdem sei der Schritt schon in der Finanzplanung für die nächsten Jahre berücksichtigt worden. “Das ist also finanziell zu stemmen.”
Scholz will für rund 90 Prozent der Steuerzahler den Aufschlag auf die Einkommensteuer ab 2021 vollständig abschaffen. Für weitere 6,5 Prozent der Steuerzahler soll er zumindest geringer ausfallen als bisher. Nur Spitzenverdiener sollen den Soli dann noch zahlen.
