ABQnews| Sudan  / Khartum |  Im Sudan hat sich der regierende Militärrat mit der Opposition auf Details einer Machtteilung geeinigt.

Top Beide Seiten unterzeichneten am Mittwoch in der Hauptstadt Khartum ein entsprechendes Abkommen, welches das afrikanische Land stabilisieren soll. Zuvor wurde unter Vermittlung des Nachbarstaates Äthiopien eine ganze Nacht um die Details gerungen, um die bereits erzielte Grundsatzvereinbarung konkreter auszugestalten. Der äthiopische Mediator Mahmud Dirir sagte, Sudan müsse die Armut überwinden und sollte von der US-Liste von Staaten genommen werden, die Terrorismus förderten.

Nach einem monatelangen Machtkampf hatten sich beide Seiten Anfang Juli auf eine dreijährige Übergangszeit verständigt, in der sie abwechselnd bis zur Ansetzung von demokratischen Wahlen die Macht haben sollen. Im April hatte das Militär nach wochenlangen Protesten Präsident Omar al-Baschir gestürzt. Darauf war es zu gewaltsamen Zusammenstößen gekommen. Allein beim Sturm von Sicherheitskräften auf ein Protestlager in Khartum wurden im Juni nach Oppositionsangaben mehr als 100 Menschen getötet.
