ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | CDU-Chefin Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer strebt keine vorzeitige Ablösung von Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel (CDU) an. In einem Interview mit der Zeitung “Welt am Sonntag” sagte die Parteichefin, ein “mutwilliger Wechsel” im Kanzleramt sei nicht ihr Ziel. Schließlich seien Merkel und die Regierung für die gesamte Legislaturperiode gewählt.
Die Bürger “erwarteten zu Recht”, dass Merkel die Verpflichtung, die mit ihrer Wahl einhergehe, ernst nehme, sagte Kramp-Karrenbauer weiter. “Ich kann also für mich ausschließen, dass ich auf einen mutwilligen Wechsel im Kanzleramt hinarbeite”, fügte sie hinzu. Ihre Planung sehe vielmehr so aus, dass die CDU sich ein neues Grundsatzprogramm gebe und dann “im Spätherbst 2020” eine Kanzlerkandidatin nominiere.
Auf die Frage, ob Merkel und sie Freundinnen seien, reagierte die CDU-Chefin zurückhaltend. Freundin sei für sie ein “privater Begriff” für jemanden, mit dem sie “im Sandkasten gespielt habe” oder zur Schule oder Uni gegangen sei. Merkel und sie seien aber “so etwas wie Weggefährtinnen”, sagte Kramp-Karrenbauer.
