ABQnews| Deutschland / Dresden | Im Prozess gegen die frühere AfD-Vorsitzende Frauke Petry um eine Falschaussage unter Eid verkündet das Landgericht Dresden heute (17.00 Uhr) das Urteil. Die Staatsanwaltschaft fordert eine Geldstrafe von insgesamt 10.500 Euro wegen fahrlässigen Falscheids. Entgegen der Anklage, die Petry Meineid vorwirft, geht die Staatsanwaltschaft nicht mehr von einem vorsätzlichen Delikt aus. Die Verteidigung fordert Freispruch.
Petry soll in einer Sitzung des Wahlprüfungsausschusses des sächsischen Landtags im Jahr 2015 in einer Zeugenaussage unter Eid falsch ausgesagt haben. Dabei ging es um die Gewährung von Darlehen durch AfD-Landtagskandidaten an die Partei, mit denen der vergangene Landtagswahlkampf unterstützt wurde. Bei einer Verurteilung wegen Meineids zu mindestens einem Jahr würde Petry der Verlust ihrer Abgeordnetenmandate in Bundestag und Landtag drohen, nicht aber bei einer Verurteilung wegen fahrlässigen Falscheids. Petry selbst versicherte, nicht vorsätzlich gehandelt zu haben.
