ABQnews| Deutschland / Dresden | Die Bundespolizei hat in Dresden zwei Männer vorläufig festgenommen, die in ihrem Auto 17 Handgranaten schmuggelten. Die 17 und 28 Jahre alten Bosnier fielen den Beamten am Montag bei einer Kontrolle am Dresdner Hauptbahnhof auf, wie die Bundespolizei am Dienstag mitteilte. Sie vermuteten eine illegale Einreise.
Bei einem der Verdächtigen wurden geringe Mengen einer betäubungsmittelähnlichen Substanz gefunden. Bei der anschließenden Durchsuchung des Fahrzeugs schlug ein Diensthund an, die Beamten fanden daraufhin hinter der Verkleidung im Kofferraum die 17 Handgranaten.
Spezialisten des Landeskriminalamts prüften die Handgranaten auf Inhalt und Funktionsfähigkeit. Die Untersuchung dauerte an. Eine Sprecherin der Bundespolizei hatte zunächst von scharfen Handgranaten gesprochen.
Die beiden Tatverdächtigen befanden sich am Dienstag noch im Polizeigewahrsam. Warum und wohin sie mit den Granaten unterwegs waren, war zunächst unklar.
