ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin| Daniel Günther führt die schleswig-holsteinische CDU für weitere zwei Jahre. Ein Landesparteitag bestätigte den 45-Jährigen am Samstag in Neumünster mit 90,04 Prozent im Amt, wie die Partei mitteilte. Günther ist seit November 2016 Landeschef der CDU in Schleswig-Holstein. Seit der Landtagswahl 2017 ist er Ministerpräsident und regiert an der Spitze einer Jamaika-Koalition gemeinsam mit den Grünen und der FDP.
Gegenkandidaten traten nicht an. Günther ist zugleich einer der Vizevorsitzenden der Bundes-CDU. In der Debatte um die künftigen Ausrichtung nach dem Rückzug von Angela Merkel von der Parteispitze plädiert er für eine Fortsetzung eines an der politischen Mitte orientierten Kurses.
