ABQnews| Deutschland / China | Bundesaußenminister Heiko Maas (SPD) reist am Sonntag zu einem Besuch nach China. Wie die Sprecherin des Auswärtigen Amts, Maria Adebahr, am Freitag in Berlin mitteilte, handelt es sich um den Antrittsbesuch von Maas in der Volksrepublik. Anlass ist demnach der strategische Außenminister-Dialog mit seinem chinesischen Kollegen Wang Yi.
In Peking will Maas auch mit weiteren Vertretern der chinesischen Führung zusammentreffen. Dabei soll es auch um den im Dezember geplanten Menschenrechtsdialog mit China gehen. Maas wird von einer Wirtschaftsdelegation sowie von Vertretern der Basketball-Mannschaft Alba Berlin begleitet, die über ein gemeinsames Programm mit chinesischen Basketballern verbunden ist.
