ABQnews | Deutschland / Israel | Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz werde am Dienstag nach Israel reisen, berichtete der deutsche Fernsehsender NTV unter Berufung auf Regierungsquellen.
Ein Regierungssprecher hat sich zu diesen Berichten bislang nicht geäußert.
Letzte Woche besuchte die deutsche Außenministerin Annalena Baerbock Israel und brachte dort die starke Unterstützung Berlins für die Verteidigung Israels gegen den Angriff der Islamischen Widerstandsbewegung (Hamas) am 7. Oktober zum Ausdruck, der den Tod Hunderter Israelis und die Inhaftierung zur Folge hatte von Anderen.
Anschließend reiste Birbock nach Ägypten, als westliche Länder versuchten, eine Eskalation des Konflikts in der Region zu verhindern.
Israel reagierte auf den Hamas-Angriff mit Luftangriffen, bei denen Hunderte Menschen im Gazastreifen getötet wurden. Außerdem forderte es, dass der nördliche Gazastreifen vor einem geplanten Bodenangriff von seinen Bewohnern evakuiert werde.
