ABQnews| Deutschland / Leipzig | Die Grünen sind am Sonntag in Leipzig zu den abschließenden Beratungen ihres Europa-Parteitags zusammengekommen. Sie setzten zunächst die Wahl der Kandidaten für die Wahl im Mai 2019 fort, gegen Mittag soll das Programm verabschiedet werden. In dem Entwurf für das Wahlprogramm wird die Europawahl als “Richtungswahl” bezeichnet.
Konkret verlangen die Grünen einen “CO2-Mindestpreis” für Industrieanlagen und eine Plastiksteuer auf Wegwerfprodukte. Die Partei will die EU zudem zu einem “Garanten sozialer Rechte” machen.
Außerdem will am Sonntag noch Parteichef Robert Habeck zu den Delegierten sprechen. Am Samstag waren die Europaabgeordneten Ska Keller und Sven Giegold zu den beiden Spitzenkandidaten für die Europawahl gekürt worden. Beide riefen dazu auf, sich den rechtsnationalen Tendenzen in Europa entgegenzustellen.
