ABQnews | Deutschland / Sudan | Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz sagte am Mittwoch, die Situation im Sudan sei sowohl für Sudanesen als auch für andere gefährlich und Berlin habe die Pflicht, bei der Ausreise deutscher Staatsbürger und Staatsbürger anderer Länder zu helfen.
„Wir fühlen uns verpflichtet, Wege zum Austritt zu finden und dazu beizutragen, dass dies geschieht. Wenn wir etwas tun, tun wir es nicht nur für uns selbst“, fügte er bei einer Pressekonferenz mit dem portugiesischen Premierminister Antonio Costa hinzu.
Zuvor hatte das deutsche Magazin Der Spiegel berichtet, dass die deutsche Armee eine Mission zur Evakuierung von etwa 150 Bürgern aus dem Sudan wegen der Kämpfe in Khartum stoppen musste.
