ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | Der angeschlagene Warenhauskonzern Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof will mehr Standorte erhalten als ursprünglich angekündigt.
“Wir reden noch mit einigen Vermietern, und ich hoffe, dass wir am Ende weniger als 50 Standorte schließen müssen”, sagte Sachwalter Frank Kebekus dem “Spiegel” laut Vorabbericht. Ursprünglich sollten 62 der 172 Kaufhäuser in Deutschland abgewickelt werden. Nach Zugeständnissen von Vermietern gelten inzwischen sechs Niederlassungen als gerettet, zu denen nun weitere hinzukommen sollen. Dem Magazin zufolge könnte dazu das Karstadt-Haus auf der Frankfurter Einkaufsmeile Zeil gehören. Nach Angaben der Gewerkschaft Verdi könnten dadurch allein dort mehr als 400 Arbeitsplätze gerettet werden.
Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof gehört ebenso wie zahlreiche seiner Warenhaus-Immobilien der Signa Holding des österreichischen Immobilien-Investors Rene Benko. Dieser hat bei Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof seit Juni 2019 das alleinige Sagen.
