ABQnews| Libyen / Türkei | Das türkische Parlament in Ankara tritt am Donnerstag (12.00 Uhr) zu einer Sondersitzung zusammen, um über einen Antrag der Regierung auf Entsendung von Kampftruppen in das Krisenland Libyen zu beraten. Der türkische Präsident Recep Tayyip Erdogan will die international anerkannte Regierung in Tripolis in ihrem Kampf gegen den abtrünnigen General Chalifa Haftar unterstützen. Für den Einsatz türkischer Soldaten in Libyen ist die Zustimmung des Parlaments erforderlich.
Ende November hatte Erdogan mit dem Ministerpräsidenten der Regierung der Nationalen Einheit in Libyen, Fajes al-Sarradsch, bereits ein erstes Militärabkommen geschlossen. Darin wurde vereinbart, dass Soldaten und Polizisten zu Trainings- und Ausbildungszwecken ins jeweils andere Land geschickt werden. Einen Einsatz türkischer Kampfverbände in Libyen sah das Abkommen jedoch nicht vor. Das Parlament gab für dieses Militärabkommen bereits im Dezember grünes Licht.
