Angesichts der verhaltenen Konjunkturdynamik und Risiken durch die handelspolitischen Spannungen hielt die Schweizerische Nationalbank (SNB) am Donnerstag an ihrem Kurs fest: Sie setzt weiterhin auf einen rekordtiefen Leitzins von minus 0,75 Prozent und will bei Bedarf am Devisenmarkt eingreifen, um einen Höhenflug des Franken zu verhindern, der die exportorientierte Wirtschaft des Landes bedrohen würde.
Der Franken sei weiterhin hoch bewertet, und die Lage am Devisenmarkt bleibe fragil, erklärte die Notenbank anlässlich ihrer vierteljährlichen Zinssitzung in Bern. “Negativzins und Interventionsbereitschaft wirken der Attraktivität von Anlagen in Franken entgegen und verringern dadurch den Aufwertungsdruck. Die Nationalbank stabilisiert so die Preisentwicklung und unterstützt die Wirtschaftsaktivität.”
