ABQnews| USA / San Francisco / Kalifornien / Apple | Der US-Technologiekonzern Apple hat seinen eigenen Streamingdienst eingeführt: Das Angebot namens Apple TV+ ist seit Freitag erhältlich und buchbar, darunter auch in Deutschland. Insgesamt sollten Kunden in über hundert Ländern das Angebot nutzen können, mit dem der Konzern aus Kalifornien den Platzhirschen Netflix und Amazon Konkurrenz machen und sich Marktanteile sichern will.
Das Abo für Apple TV+ gibt es in den USA schon für 4,99 Dollar im Monat, in Deutschland sind es 4,99 Euro. Damit ist das Angebot deutlich günstiger als die großen Konkurrenten. Zugang haben bis zu sechs Nutzer. Sie können dafür eine handvoll Serien und Filme ansehen – das Angebot beinhaltet ausschließlich Eigenproduktionen.
Apple investiert schon seit längerem in neue Geschäftsbereiche, um den sinkenden Umsätzen im weltweiten gesättigten Smartphonemarkt etwas entgegensetzen und unabhängiger von seinem Flaggschiff iPhone werden zu können. Analysten zufolge erhöht der Konzern damit seine Erfolgsaussichten, Nutzer in seinem digitalen Ökosystem zu halten.
