ABQnews| Frankreich / Paris / Airbus | Airbus hat einen Großauftrag von der amerikanischen Beteiligungsgesellschaft Indigo Partners eingeheimst.
Wie Indigo Partners und Airbus am Mittwoch anlässlich der Pariser Luftfahrtmesse in Le Bourget mitteilten, umfasst die Bestellung 50 Maschinen der auch auf längeren Strecken einsetzbaren Airbus A321XLR. Die Absichtserklärung beinhalte 32 Neuaufträge und 18 Umbauten von bestehenden Aufträgen der A320neo-Familie. 20 Flugzeuge würden an die ungarische Wizz Air gegeben, 18 an Frontier Airlines und zwölf an die chilenische Jetsmart. Indigo Partners hält Anteile an den drei Fluggesellschaften.
Der A321XLR-Jet kann längere Strecken fliegen als die gewöhnlichen A320 und A321, die für Kurz- und Mitteldistanzen gebaut sind. Der neue Jet verfügt über eine Reichweite von 8700 Kilometern.
