ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | Der Sänger Michael Schulte wird in diesem Jahr zur nationalen deutschen Jury für den Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) gehören. Das gab die ARD am Dienstag bekannt. Der 29-jährige Songwriter hatte im vergangenen Jahr selbst als deutscher Vertreter am ESC teilgenommen und war beim Finale in Lissabon mit “You Let Me Walk Alone” auf Platz vier gelandet.
“Ich bin ESC-Fan, seit ich denken kann”, erklärte Schulte. Dass er nun nach seiner eigenen Teilnahme an dem Wettbewerb “in offizieller Mission” in der nationalen Jury mitwirken dürfe, sei eine “große Ehre”. Die fünfköpfige nationale Jury teilt in den Halbfinals und im Finale die Hälfte der Punkte aus Deutschland zu, die andere Hälfte wird auf Grundlage von Zuschauerabstimmungen vergeben.
