ABQnews| Deutschland / Berlin | Die CDU-Fraktion im sächsischen Landtag wird ab sofort von Christian Hartmann geführt. Die Abgeordneten wählten ihren 44-jährigen bisherigen innenpolitischen Sprecher nach Fraktionsangaben bei einer Sitzung am Dienstag zum Nachfolger von Fraktionschef Frank Kupfer. Dieser hatte vor rund zwei Wochen aus gesundheitlichen Gründen seinen Rücktritt bekanntgegeben.
Hartmann setzte sich in einer Kampfabstimmung gegen den früheren Landesjustizminister und derzeitigen Ausländerbeauftragten Geert Mackenroth durch, der sich ebenfalls beworben hatte. In Sachsen regiert die CDU unter Ministerpräsident Michael Kretschmer seit 2014 in einer großen Koalition mit der SPD. In etwa einem Jahr wird in dem ostdeutschen Bundesland ein neuer Landtag gewählt.
