ABQnews| USA / Venezuela / Opec | Die US-Sanktionen und die weit verbreiteten Stromausfälle haben die Ölförderung im krisengeschüttelten Venezuela einbrechen lassen.
Sie sank in dem südamerikanischen Opec-Land im März im Vergleich zum Vormonat um rund ein Drittel auf 960.000 Barrel (das Fass zu 159 Liter), wie aus Daten der Organisation Erdöl exportierender Staaten vom Mittwoch hervorgeht.
Öl ist die wichtigste Einnahmequelle der Regierung in Caracas. Venezuela gehörte einst zu den drei führenden Ölförderern innerhalb der Opec. Die Produktion geht jedoch wegen der jahrelangen Wirtschaftskrise stetig zurück. Ein Grund dafür sind die US-Sanktionen, die gegen die linke Regierung von Präsident Nicolas Maduro gerichtet sind. Sie betreffen auch den staatlichen Ölkonzern PDVSA. In den vergangenen Wochen kam es wegen dieser Strafmaßnahmen auch zu größeren Stromausfällen.
