ABQnews| Deutschland / Frankfurt am Main / EZB | Die Europäische Zentralbank (EZB) hält wie erwartet an ihrem Niedrigzins-Kurs fest. Der Leitzins in der Eurozone bleibt bei 0,0 Prozent, wie eine EZB-Sprecherin am Donnerstag in Frankfurt am Main mitteilte. Dabei werde es auch bis “mindestens über den Sommer” bleiben.
Neben dem Leitzins bleiben auch die beiden anderen wichtigen Zinssätze unverändert: Lagern Banken ihr Geld kurzfristig bei der EZB ein, statt es an Unternehmen zu verleihen, zahlen sie weiterhin einen Strafzins von 0,4 Prozent. Bei kurzfristigen Kapitalspritzen und sogenannten Übernachtkrediten werden wie bisher 0,25 Prozent Zinsen fällig. Die EZB hatte den zentralen Zinssatz im März 2016 auf 0,0 Prozent gesenkt, um mit günstigem Kapital Konjunktur und Inflation anzukurbeln.
Ihr billionenschweres Anleihenkaufprogramm hatte die EZB hingegen zum Jahresende auslaufen lassen. Dabei hatte die Zentralbank seit März 2015 mehr als 2,6 Billionen Euro in die Anleihen von Unternehmen und Staaten investiert, um die Finanzmärkte zu stützen.
