ABQnews| Deutschland / USA / Apple  |  Apple hat am Dienstag seinen Bezahldienst Apple Pay in Deutschland gestartet, mit dem Kunden des US-Konzerns kontaktlos an der Kasse bezahlen können. Besitzer von iPhones, Apple Watches, iPads und Macs könnten damit “bei führenden Einzelhändlern in ganz Deutschland” auf “einfache, schnelle und sichere Art und Weise” bezahlen, teilte Apple am Dienstag in München mit. Apple Pay mache den Alltag damit “schneller und komfortabler”.

Mit dem Bezahldienst können Kunden über den Nahfeldfunk NFC (Near Field Communication) bargeld- und kontaktlos zahlen. Apple zufolge akzeptieren “hunderttausende Standorte” Apple Pay. Zu den teilnehmenden Banken gehören etwa die Deutsche Bank, HVB und Comdirect – außerdem Händler wie C&A, Tank & Rast oder die Allianz Arena sowie Apps und Websites wie Foodora und mytaxi.

Nach Angaben des Konzerns sollen bei Apple Pay Sicherheit und Datenschutz im Mittelpunkt stehen. Wenn eine Kredit- oder Debitkarte hinzugefügt werde, würden die tatsächlichen Kartennummern weder auf dem Gerät noch auf den Apple Servern gespeichert. Im Juli hatten bereits die Sparkassen ihre eigene App fürs Bezahlen mit dem Smartphone gestartet. Auch Google bietet seinen Bezahldienst Google Pay in Deutschland an.
