ABQnews | Irak / Russland | Der Sprecher des irakischen Außenministeriums, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, sagte in einer Erklärung, dass der russische Außenminister Sergej Lawrow am Sonntag in Bagdad eintreffen werde, um die Stärkung der bilateralen Beziehungen und der Zusammenarbeit im Energiebereich zu erörtern.
Al-Sahaf fügte hinzu, dass Lavrov, der eine Delegation leitet, der Vertreter von Unternehmen des Öl- und Gassektors angehören, am Montag mit seinem irakischen Amtskollegen Fuad Hussein zusammentreffen soll.
Er erklärte, dass sich der Besuch auf „strategische Beziehungen mit der russischen Seite angesichts der Verbesserung von Investitionen und wirtschaftlicher Attraktivität, insbesondere im Hinblick auf Energieakten“, konzentrieren werde.
Al-Sahhaf sagte, dass der russische Außenminister auch hochrangige irakische Beamte treffen werde, darunter Premierminister Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani, Präsident Abdul Latif Rashid und Parlamentssprecher.
