ABQnews| Kuwait / Irak | Der irakische Ministerpräsident Mustafa Al-Kadhimi ist am Sonntag als Leiter einer hochrangigen Regierungsdelegation in Kuwait eingetroffen, teilte das Medienbüro des Ministerpräsidenten in einer Erklärung der staatlichen Nachrichtenagentur INA mit.
Al-Kadhimi bestätigte, dass sein Besuch Teil der Bemühungen ist, die Zusammenarbeit und die bilateralen Beziehungen mit verschiedenen Ländern, darunter Kuwait, zu stärken. Zuvor hatte der Premierminister betont, dass Gespräche mit den politischen Führern in Kuwait notwendig seien, um einen regionalen Fahrplan zu erstellen.
Der Premierminister fügte hinzu, dass sich die irakische Regierung verpflichtet habe, die Wahlen am geplanten Datum des 10. Oktober im Laufe dieses Jahres abzuhalten, und sagte, sie habe alle notwendigen Verfahren für faire Wahlen getroffen.
