ABQnews| USA / Washington | Zehn ehemalige US-Verteidigungsminister haben das Militär aufgerufen, sich nicht an dem Versuch von Präsident Donald Trump zur Blockade der Machtübergabe an Joe Biden zu beteiligen.
Die Wahlen seien vorbei, die Neuauszählungen und Überprüfungen abgeschlossen und das Wahlleute-Kolleg habe abgestimmt, hieß es am Sonntag in einem gemeinsamen Kommentar in der “Washington Post”. Die Zeit sei gekommen, Trumps Niederlage zu akzeptieren und Bidens Sieg anzuerkennen. “Versuche, die US-Streitkräfte in die Beilegung von Wahlstreitigkeiten einzubeziehen, würden uns in gefährliches, unrechtmäßiges und verfassungswidriges Territorium führen.” Zu den Unterzeichnern gehörten auch Mark Esper und James Mattis, die unter Trump dienten.
