ABQnews| Syrien / Israel | Bei Luftangriffen in der Nähe der syrischen Hauptstadt Damaskus sind einem Medienbericht zufolge eine Person getötet und drei Soldaten verletzt worden.
Der “israelische Feind” habe einen Angriff aus Nordgaliläa ausgeführt und eine Luftverteidigungseinheit in der Gegend von Nabi Habeel angegriffen, berichtete die staatliche Nachrichtenagentur SANA am Mittwoch unter Berufung auf einen Insider aus den Reihen des syrischen Militärs. Eine Sprecherin des israelischen Militärs lehnte es ab, sich zu dem Bericht zu äußern.
Israel ist wegen des gestiegenen iranischen Einflusses in Syrien in Alarmbereitschaft. Der Iran ist neben Russland der wichtigste Verbündete der syrischen Führung, die seit mehr als acht Jahren versucht, einen Aufstand gegen Präsident Baschar al-Assad niederzuschlagen. Israel will verhindern, dass der Iran eine permanente militärische Präsenz in Syrien aufbaut. Es hat deswegen nach eigenen Angaben bereits Hunderte Angriffe in Syrien geflogen.
